Winemaker Tasting and Discussion - Apr 10th
Greetings!
We are happy to announce the next Winemaker Tasting and Discussion hosted by the LVWA and the quality enhancement and education committee.
Non Chardonnay Whites
What are you making these days? Albarino, Sauv blanc, Pinot gris, etc?
You can bring a wine you are prepping for bottling, a wine you have already bottled, or a benchmark wine.
Date and Time: Thursday, Apr 10, 2025 (10 to 12 pm)
Location: Las Positas Vineyards

Limit to first 20 people to RSVP (commercial winemakers only, no more than 2 people per winery please)
When you send in your RSVP, please let me know what you plan on bringing.
Logistics
Please bring your own glassware - 4 glasses
If you would like to bring crackers or munchies, please do so.
Las Positas Vineyards will provide the venue, spit cups, dump buckets, and water.
Bring 2 x 750 mls of a bottled sample to share with the group.
At the tasting we will have sample tubes and stickers available. These samples will be sent to AEMTEK for analysis. (FSO2, TSO2, pH, TA, VA, RS, and Alcohol). If desired, we can also send samples to Wente or Wine XRay for tannin analysis. The results of the analysis for samples submitted will be sent to the winery / winemaker that supplied the sample. If that winery wants to share with the group, they can do so. The analysis will also be put into a database for future reference.
